Minna is working on a new web site which will combine both the bookbinding as well as the jewelry, in the form of a store, tentatively called Urban Artefact. It seems www.minnasjewelry.com is temporarily not a functional web site..please bear with us until it is fixed.

Join in the 2nd annual Shad Fest in Fishtown!
It will be April 24, 2010, at Penn Treaty Park, from 11am to 6pm.

PURPOSE: To celebrate the historical and environmental significance of Fishtown, one of Philadelphia’s oldest riverfront neighborhoods, and energize the next generation to become involved in the future of the riverfront. Last year over 3000 people came to the ShadFest and enjoyed numerous activities including:
· The Shad Run – a 5K race benefiting the Park organized by the Fishtown Beer Runners
· Live Local Music
· Educational Kiosks – sponsored by area environmental groups
· Maritime displays and Kayaking open to the public
· Local Arts & Crafts vendors
· Food Booths – featuring shad fish, festival-themed foods and local specialties
· Trolley Tours with Historian Ken Milano
· Valet Bike Parking by Neighborhood Bike Works
· Live Local Music
· Educational Kiosks – sponsored by area environmental groups
· Maritime displays and Kayaking open to the public
· Local Arts & Crafts vendors

Devotion

Devotion is a Juried Art Exhibit exploring the concept of devotion, in many different media. Jurors were: Colin Keefe and Andrea Wolf Keefe, co-directors of Mount Airy Contemporary Artists Space.
Minna has submitted two pieces to the show. Come join her and the other artists at the opening reception Friday February 5th, from 5pm to 9pm. The show dates are February 5th-28th, 2010.

Minna is joining forces with a new Co-op in Philadelphia. The co-op started as Fishtown Airways in September 2009, and now is shifting to a new name. For November 6, First Friday we should be in full force, set to have a successful Christmas season. Please join us November 6, at 200 East Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125, reception will be from 6pm to 10pm. We will have food and drink, as well as live entertainment.

The First Annual Fishtown Shad Fest was a great success! Along with wonderful weather, the variety of vendors were able to satisfy many different interests, including crafts, history, environmental education, kayaking, shad \sandwiches, and many different musical bands.
